Ski Jumping

Ski jumping has been attached to the Olympic Winter Games since the first Games in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc in 1924. In the 1964 Olympic Games in Innsbruck included the Large Hill competition.

Ski Jumping Events

    Individual normal hill

    The only ski jumping event from the normal hill, which has a K-point between 75 and 99 metres high where they are accomplished two jumps (first and final round), and the athlete with the highest total score is declared the winner. The qualification consists in that there are 50 athletes participating in the first round. And in the final round the field is reduced to 30 athletes.

    Individual large hill

    This event is competed on the large hill, which has a K-point larger than 100 metres. There are accomplished two jumps (first and final round), and the athlete with the highest total score is declared the winner. After a qualification in the first round there are 50 athletes participating alike Individual Normal Hill event. And in the final round the field is reduced to 30 athletes.

    Team Event

    This event is usually developed on the large hill. Which consists of four members on each team, and there are two jumps (first and final round). In the first round all of teams participate. and in the final round the field is reduced on the eight best teams. The winner is the team with the highest total score over the eight jumps.
