MountainSavvy
Each Avalanche Safety course consists of one full day of videos, slides, lectures and interactive discussion and one full day of hands-on field training with state-of-the-art snow rescue equipment. Participants will learn to read the clues of snowpack, weather and terrain. You will learn to evaluate hazard and assess risk. Expect an intense experience with a full schedule.
Services:
There are no prerequisites for the Level I Avalanche course. Some background reading and any previous awareness courses may help you prepare for a Level I Avalanche course, but they are not necessary. A general level of fitness and equipment appropriate for winter travel in mountainous terrain are necessary.
